Alien Inspiration Day

Fire Safety Talk.
We had a very special visit from a firefighter called Steve.  He came into Year 1 to talk about fire safety.  We learnt a lot and enjoyed having our pictures taken.

Wednesday 9th May - We took part in Race for Life.
We had great fun running twice around the field.  Well done to everyone.  We loved getting our medals.  Please bring in your sponsorship forms. Thanks.

Where the Wild Things Are 
The children have been focusing on the book 'Where the Wild Things Are'. They have really enjoyed reading the book, looking at key words and acting out the story.

Saturday 7th July - 11am-3pm- Summer School Fete

Our PE days will be on Monday and Friday
Please ensure PE kits have been sent in clearly labelled.  On PE days please remember to take out your child's earrings and make sure long hair is tied back.  All PE kits should have a pair of plimsolls or trainers in them should we do PE outside. 

Reading Books
 If your child has read with you, please remember to sign your child's reading record diary.  During the day the children will then have the opportunity to change their book.  On a Friday children will be able to take home a library book rather then a book from the reading scheme. 
Remember children should read at least 5 times a week.  They will then be entered into the weekly reading raffle to win a prize.

Water Bottles
Please ensure your child brings in a water bottle everyday so they can have access to water in the Classroom. Please make sure bottles are named.

All items of clothing and footwear should be labelled. Children can wear the summer school uniform. For boys this means grey tailored shorts.  For girls this mean dark blue and which checked summer dresses, or culottes.
