In Maths this week we have been talking about ordinal number to link to sports day (which was unfortunately cancelled!). Next week we will be working on Number Bonds.

We have now learnt all the Phase 2 and Phase 3 phonics sounds. This term we will be splitting into different phonics groups across the 2 Reception classes. Some children will revisit the Phase 3 sounds to consolidate their learning and those who are ready will begin to work on Phase 4 and Phase 5 phonics work.
Please continue to practise word building using the Phase 3 digraphs and trigraphs at home.

We now have daily handwriting practise. Please support your child to form the letters correctly at home.

Other Notices
Please continue to send your child to school with a bottle of water. Children need to drink  during the day and we can take water bottles out during P.E. sessions on the field.

Bug Club
Please encourage your child to read books on Bug Club as it encourages important comprehension skills. There will be prizes for children who use Bug Club regularly!
