Class Notices

Our trip to Tropical Wings is on Monday. Please ensure that your child is in school on time as we will be leaving promptly at 9.30am.
Children should be dressed in school uniform with comfortable shoes e.g. trainers (NO sandals).  We would advise you to check the weather as if it is wet your child will need welly boots and a waterproof coat. However, if it is sunny please make sure your child has a hat and apply sun cream before they leave home.
If you have not ordered a school packed lunch, children should bring their own packed lunch.  Please also ensure your child has plenty of water/drinks.

We're all looking forward to an exciting day!

Children should bring a named bottle of water to school every day
Library Books
This is a book for you to share with and read to your child.
We will be changing library books on a Thursday so please make sure they are sent to school on this day.
Thank you.

Our P.E. days are Wednesday and Thursday
Please ensure earrings are removed on these days.
This term we will be taking part in team activities and dance.

Reading Challenge
Please ensure all reading books and reading record diaries are brought into school every day.  Please support your child with their reading by reading with them daily at home.  Anyone who reads 5 times a week is entered into the school reading raffle and may win a prize.  If your child has read their book at home, please place their book inside the reading record diary and put it in the yellow basket outside our classroom.  Remember to always sign the reading record diary so that we know your child has read. Reading books can be changed daily when children have read at home. Each child will share their book with an adult in class once a week.

Labelling Clothing

Please ensure all items of clothing are labelled with your child's name.
If your child borrows clothes from school for any reason, please wash and return them to the class teacher.

Our Interesting World
This term our topic is 'Our Interesting World'.
The topic is child led and we will be covering topics which your children have told us they would like to learn about. This will include finding out about transport, space, different Countries and puppets!

Our role play area has now changed to a shop. The theme of the shop will change throughout the term.

We continue to split between the two Reception classes for our Phonics lessons, to ensure that we are supporting children to their own ability.

Please continue to practise the Phase 3 digraphs, encouraging your child to build words and sentences.

Home Learning

Last half term many children were awarded a certificate and a prize for completing at least one Maths and one Phonics/Topic activity every week. We would love to see every child with a certificate and prize at the end of this half term.
Please ensure that homework activities are not completed by an older sibling!
Home Learning Books will be sent home on a Friday. Please return them to school by the following Wednesday to give us time to look at your child's work and prepare the next activity.
Thank you.

Check out what we have been doing lately!
